Kootenay mountain musician...multi-instrumental looper freakshow. He likes meat, veggies, booze, wigs, tofu and bacon stirfry and other genderless stuff.He is overly friendly when he needs to be...usually to get some of the above items.
Shawn is an independant recording artist with two discs under the proverbial belt, both recorded by and with Mr. Don Kerr; man of many talents including recording gourmet, playing drums and cello with Ron Sexsmith and babymaking.
Shawn has exposed himself, as a 'musician' and 'composer' on numerous occasions, in public situations. This is the usual result of dark, reclusive, and sweaty experiments with electro-organic musical manipulation, which incorporate ever growing apparatus and instrumentation. Thus able to produce any number of rythmic and melodic tendencies from multiple sources, Shawn may then express that which eludes most dual limbed organisms.
Highly active and excitable on stage...Shawn belies his intense concentration which he employs to avoid disasters of great magnitude. The Tight Rope of Euphony is deftly, nimbly traversed it seems, by hand and foot and bilabial bursts of cavernous insight. String and skin, steel and silicon chips, electrons and meat, all meld to produce the kind of aural stimulation one might expect from a multi-membered menagerie of musicians and technicians.
...And so the quest continues to sneak under the six foot line with iambic infidelities and instrumental infiltrations...
